Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, August 3	We announced that Amazon Redshift Now Supports Dynamic Work Load Management and List Aggregate Functions. The AWS Windows and .NET Developer Blog reviewed the AWS SDK for .NET’s SDK Cache. A Reddit post in /r/aws shared Some Extra CloudWatch Metrics. The CloudCheckr Blog talked about Optimizing Allocation and AWS Spend. The Flux7 Blog reviewed AWS Config: A Configuration Manager to Save the Day.
Tuesday, August 4	We announced PCI Compliance for Amazon CloudFront. We announced that the EC2 Container Service is Available in the US West (Northern California) Region. We announced that the AWS Device Farm Now Includes Support for iOS. We announced New Direct Connect Locations in Beijing, Osaka, and Frankfurt. We announced some Usability Enhancements (Bucket Limit Increase and Read-after-write Consistency) for Amazon S3. The Zend Blog talked about Debugging WordPress with Zend Server and Z-Ray on AWS. The AWS Java Blog showed you how to Use AWS CodeCommit from Eclipse. The AWS Startup Collection published Part 2 of a series on Building Dynamic Dashboards Using AWS Lambda and DynamoDB Streams. The Cloud Academy Blog talked about Tightening Up Your Amazon Deployments. The Cloudability Blog shared some Strategies for Cutting Storage Costs with Amazon S3.
Wednesday, August 5	We launched AWS for Microsoft Windows Self-Paced Training Labs. We announced that AWS CloudHSM is Now Available in the AWS GovCloud (US) Region. Jon Davis wrote an AWS API Gateway to Lambda to DynamoDB Tutorial. The AWS Partner Network Blog talked about how DNAnexus is Building a Global Network for Genomic Data. The AWS Security Blog announced that the 2015 AWS PCI Compliance Package is Now Available. The We Kanban Blog published an Amazon Web Services Snapshot Checking Tool. The Cloud Academy Blog explained Why You Should Consider Migrating Your DNS Needs to AWS Route 53.
Thursday, August 6	We announced that you can now Trigger AWS Lambda Functions using Amazon Simple Workflow. We announced that Amazon RDS for Oracle Now Supports the R3 and T2 Instance Families. I described how King Uses Amazon CloudFront to Deliver Mobile Games to Over 200 Countries. The AWS Big Data Blog showed you how to Implement Efficient and Reliable Producers with the Amazon Kinesis Producer Library. The AWS Compute Blog showed you how to Build NoSQL Database Triggers with Amazon DynamoDB and AWS Lambda. The AWS Startup Collection talked about how Harvest.ai is Changing How Companies Share Content Securely. The 2nd Watch Blog explained how AWS Device Farm Simplifies Mobile App Testing.
Friday, August 7	The AWS Compute Blog discussed Cost-Effective Batch Processing with Amazon EC2 Spot. We published a new Introduction to High Performance Computing on AWS white paper. We updated the AWS SDK for Android, AWS SDK for Java, AWS SDK for JavaScript, AWS SDK for Ruby, AWS SDK for Go, and the AWS CLI. Mauricio Linhares shared an AWS Quick Tip: Taking Out Your EC2 Trash (Finding and Deregistering Unused AMIs). A Quora thread discussed the Pros and Cons of Using Amazon Redshift.
