Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, June 15	We announced that AWS Lambda can now Run Java Code in Response to Events. We announced Simplified Reserved Instance Options for Amazon RDS. We announced that you can now Send Push Notifications to Mac OS Desktops and VoIP apps on iOS Devices with Amazon SNS. We added Speedus Plug & Run Linux Accelerator, BlueData EPIC, SteelCloud RHEL6.6 Golddisk 4.1, OpenLDAP + phpLDAPadmin + Webmin (Powered by SAIN3), Elasticsearch 1-Click HA Autoscalable Cluster Cloudata Manager, 1 Click Data Center Command, and OpenScholar (Powered by System Sector) to the AWS Marketplace. The Sumo Logic Blog talked about their VPC Flow Log Application. The AWS Compute Blog talked about Writing AWS Lambda Functions in Scala. I published Episode #104 of the AWS Podcast, featuring an interview with Igor Tabor of Intel Capital. The Cloud Academy Blog wrote about AWS Marketplace to Harness the Value of Free Amazon Machine Images. The Cloudability Blog published an AWS M4 Performance and Cost Analysis.
Tuesday, June 16	We announced the new T2.Large Instances. We announced that Apache Spark is Now Available on Amazon EMR. We announced that SQL Server Enterprise Edition AMIs are Now Available for EC2. We announced that AWS Elastic Beanstalk Supports Multiple WAR Files and M4 Instances. Empire is a self-hosted open source PaaS built on EC2 Container Service and Docker by Remind. The AWS Big Data Blog discussed Large Scale Machine Learning with Spark on Amazon EMR. The AWS Startup Collection published an Introduction to Blue/Green Deployment on AWS. Matt Wood talked about Spark.
Wednesday, June 17	We launched the AWS Korean Blog, in Korean. We announced a Quick Start Reference Deployment for Microsoft Lync Server 2013 on AWS. We announced a CloudFront Update, with Configurable Max and Default TTL. The AWS Webinar team posted two new presentations to SlideShare: Protecting Your Data with AWS Encryption and Dynamic Data Ingestion with Amazon S3 and AWS Lambda. We announced the Marketing & Commerce APN Competency. The Amazon Mobile App Distribution Blog announced Amazon Cloud Drive SDKs for Android and iOS. A guest post on the AWS Compute Blog talked about Running an Amazon ECS Talks on Every Instance. The 2nd Watch Blog published Perspectives from the Cloud: An Interview with the Bloor Group.
Thursday, June 18	AWS Evangelist Tara Walker posted a new presentation, A Walk in the Clouds with AWS Lambda to SlideShare. We introduced Canadian Dollars (CAD) as a New Preferred Payment Currency for AWS. We announced Task Definition Deregistration and Environment Variable Overrides for Amazon ECS. We announced that Amazon RDS Now Supports DB Instances With up to 6 TB of Storage. We updated the AWS Mobile SDK for iOS, AWS CLI, AWS SDK for .Net, AWS Tools for Windows PowerShell, AWS SDK for Ruby, AWS SDK for Go, the AWS SDK for Java, and the AWS SDK for JavaScript. The AWS Startup Collection invited you to Launch Your Startup at AWS re:Invent. Eric Hammond announced the New and Improved Lambda Shell Hack. The ElasticBox Blog discussed the Shared Attributes of Immutable Servers and AWS. The We Kanban Blog shared an S3 Bucket Permission Checker. The Cloud Academy Blog reviewed AWS Deployment Tools and discussed Choosing the Right Application Service. Florian Motlik of Codeship wrote about Long Term Log Analysis With Amazon Redshift.
Friday, June 19	We announced that Amazon S3 Supports Read-After-Write Consistency in the US Standard Region. The Cloudability Blog asked the question, How Cost-Efficient is the new, Burstable AWS T2.Large?
