Monday, June 29	We launched AWS Budgets and Forecasts. We announced that AWS Lambda is Now Available in the Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Region. James Hamilton talked about Data Center Power & Water Consumption. The Cloudyn Blog discussed 6 AWS Cloud Storage Cost Use Cases (Part 1 of a series). The Cloudability Blog reviewed the AWS Public Sector Symposium and Why the Government Needs Public Cloud.
Tuesday, June 30	The AWS Security Blog introduced s2n, a New Open Source TLS Implementation. The AWS Mobile Development Blog announced AWS Mobile SDK for iOS 2.2.0. The AWS Mobile Development Blog talked about Using Amazon Machine Learning and Amazon Mobile Analytics to Build Predictive Application for your Mobile App. The Cloud Academy Blog talked about CloudFormation: The Perfect Cloud Deployment Tool for AWS. The Cloudability Blog announced their June Feature Update with New AWS Compatibility, Reporting Improvements, and More. The Gathering Clouds Blog talked about Government Cloud on the Rise: NSA, DOJ Move to Amazon Web Services.
Wednesday, July 1	We added new self-paced learning quests (each a sequence of hands-on labs) to help you to prepare for the AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate and AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional exams. The AWS Big Data Blog talked about How Expedia Implemented Near Real-Time Analysis of Interdependent Datasets. The AWS Partner Network Blog announced that Five New AWS Partner Success Videos are Available. We updated the AWS SDK for Unity. The AWS Startup Collection previewed What’s Hot at AWS Pop-up Lofts in July. The AWS Application Management Blog showed you how to Manage Agent Updates on AWS OpsWorks-Managed Instances. Dan Osipov wrote Spark on AWS EMR – The Missing Manual. The We Kanban Blog published an Amazon Web Services Unused EC2 Resources Checker. The Cloud Academy Blog talked about AWS Networking: How it’s Different From Your Data Center.
Thursday, July 2	We shared some important AWS Best Practices for DDoS Resiliency. We Added Four New Fields to Amazon CloudFront’s Access Logs. The https://blogs.aws.amazon.com/javascript/ announced the SDK Builder for the AWS SDK for JavaScript in the Browser. The Cloud Academy Blog talked about AWS Tags for Amazon Glacier Vaults.
Friday, July 3	The Amazon Mobile App Distribution Blog offered Free Video Training – An Introduction to Amazon Echo and the Alexa Skills Kit. The Evident.io Blog promised Drones, Apple Watches, and Startup Pricing at the AWS NY Summit.

New & Notable Open Source Packages

Cheddar – Java framework for enterprise applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using domain-driven design (DDD).
Moto – Mock library that allows Python tests to easily mock out the Boto library.
Awstools – Tools to play with AWS.
EC2-userdata – Gets the user data from an EC2 instance, programmatically or via the command line.
